Teddy was born in Greece and grew up in Queens, New York City. Early childhood immersed in 90s New York hip hop culture. He loved sports, graffiti and jazz music.
He founded Aime Leon Dore in 2014. After several years of steady growth and product iterations, the brand began to make big strides in 2017, opening a pop up store one after another, and the first collaboration with New Balance in 2019 was a turning point for both brands. Amie Leon Dore explains his vision of New York through basketball, graffiti, black culture, jazz and hip-hop records. Back in 2022, Teddy won the investment of LV Group and served as the creative director of New Balance's "Made in America" series.
