The figure of the British designer Vivienne Westwood continues to be more than present in the fashion house she once founded and to be a source of inspiration, both for the team that makes up the eponymous brand and for her business partner and widower Andreas Kronthaler, who has decided to pay tribute to her once again both in the latest collection and the latest campaign, as it has been photographed in the house in which the grand dame grew up, located on the outskirts of Manchester, and in some of the surrounding areas.
Juergen Teller, a renowned photographer, has this time been commissioned to shoot the images that make up the selection, featuring Vivienne’s family and friends, including her son Ben and granddaughter Cora Corré, dressed from head to toe in the garments from the AW23-24 collection.
Of the campaign, Andreas commented: “To go up there and shoot the campaign has been very helpful in the process of coming to terms with the loss of not having her with us anymore… We ended the day at Vivienne’s grave and took a few pictures there. It felt very special to document this moment.”
