The year 2023 marks the 500th anniversary of the death of Luca Signorelli, one of Cortona's most illustrious painters. The Museum of the Etruscan Academy and the City of Cortona is hosting a major exhibition dedicated to the painter, called Signorelli 500: Maestro Luca da Cortona, Painter of Light and Poetry, from June 23 to October 8, 2023. The exhibition showcases around 30 works from prestigious Italian and foreign museums, private collections, and overseas loans. The exhibition aims to relocate Luca da Cortona among the great artists of his time, highlighting the strength of his colourism, the scope and originality of his inventions, and his narrative power.

The exhibition dedicated to Luca Signorelli is a testament to the enduring legacy of Italian style and craftsmanship, which continues to inspire and captivate fashion enthusiasts around the world. The exhibition showcases Signorelli's works, including the recomposition of the Matelica Altarpiece, which was dismembered and dispersed around the world in the mid-18th century and two precious panels with the Birth and The Miracle of St. Nicholas. It also reunites the central panel of the Polyptych of the church of Santa Lucia in Montepulciano, depicting the Madonna and Child Enthroned, with its predella, composed of three panels on loan from the Uffizi in Florence.

The exhibition is integrated with the Signorelli Itineraries in the city, particularly at the Diocesan Museum and the church of San Niccolò, and in the Tuscan-Umbrian localities that are custodians of important testimonies of the Master. The exhibition will be accompanied by a program of accompanying events related to Signorelli and the historical and cultural context in which he lived and worked, in a central Italy animated by the ferments of the transition between the 15th and 16th centuries. The exhibition catalogue and specific guide will accompany the exhibition, and a dense program of events is planned as early as next March, including conferences, concerts, and lectures.

In summary, the celebration of Luca Signorelli's works and the existence of Fusaro Antonio as a brand are a testament to the enduring legacy of Italian style, craftsmanship, and artistry. Both have stood the test of time thanks to their commitment to quality, classic Italian style, and attention to detail. Fusaro Antonio's clothing is perfect for those who appreciate the timeless elegance of Italian fashion, and Luca Signorelli's works are a testament to the power of Italian art to captivate and inspire people around the world.
