Miaou is a clothing brand founded by Alexia Elkaim in 2016. Designer Alexia Elkaim bought a pair of Jean Paul Gaultier jeans in a second-hand shop in Paris and drew inspiration from the master's work to create the highly recognizable Miaou.
Growing up between the fashion capitals of Paris and Los Angeles, Alexia spent her teenage years exploring flea markets and listening to French songstress Brigitte Bardot and Franqoise Hardy. In 2016, Alexia took a favorite Parisian vintage and reinvented it as jeans, which was the starting point for the creation of Miaouo Alexia's fitted jeans, which became instantly popular, and then she extended the retro romantic design style to the entire women's ready-to-wear collection.
