A survey of over 45,000 people shows that London is the UK's Craft Capital. The study was conducted by the expert team at Liberty London, investigating 76 different data points, including Google search data, local craft resources, and social media interests. London has 189 different fabric shops alone, more than four times the second-largest stockist, Birmingham. The city's Craft Council is also highly representative with 227 members, more than 11 times that of Birmingham. Finally, London benefits from top universities such as Central Saint Martins and a thriving artistic atmosphere, making its position well-deserved.
