Yoon Ahn’s AMBUSH® has been busy lately. Now, the Tokyo-based brand is calling out all of the club kids to play with its new Spring/Summer 2023 collection.
Inspired by Tokyo’s club culture and rave scene, the collection presents an energized take on party-inspired streetwear. But what makes the collection particularly exciting is its exploration of several club subcultures. In typical AMBUSH® fashion, the offering sets forth several oversized unisex silhouettes that extend to bomber jackets, floor-hugging pants in highlighter hues and metallic suiting. Out of these oversized shapes, outerwear pieces like feathered jackets in sea foam green and black serve as style highlights.
“It’s like the bass in your stomach when the music’s ear-splitting,” said Ahn. “Hopefully, it gives people energy and lets them indulge in the moment.”
Elsewhere in the collection are moto-inspired jackets, reimagined varsity jackets, shrunken tank tops, mini skirts, leather pants, silver chaps, cutout tops and futuristic dresses. Across these pieces is an array of rave-inspired graphics done up in psychedelic colors. Finishing off the looks are platform mules and multi-variation rave boots alongside accessories like a bunny balaclava and jewelry.
