Awake NY has an admirably solid support system surrounding its brand, especially since opening its flagship location in the heart of downtown New York City over the summer. Awake is tapping into just that – its unique communal cult following – to flex its latest Fall 2023 collection. Across its clean and cozy range entitled “La Comunidad,” a title Awake uses for its friends and family community, the label is serving up a slew of statement cold-weather pieces, modeled by local New Yorkers in front of the Orchard Street storefront.
This second fall delivery comes about a month after Awake’s initial fall release, which saw Awake’s signature graphic at the forefront and a range of jackets. “La Comunidad” sees a cohesive, intentional expansion of the label’s first fall offering, adding on a lot more knitted pieces. Two fleece jackets stand at the forefront of the vibrant collection, along with a range of striking patterned knitwear. A bevy of hoodies is available as well, with some leaning into heavy branding throughout, and others taking a more minimal, subtly-branded approach.
