Giuliano Calza‘s GCDS is one of the most eccentric and playful brands on the planet, but don’t mistake it for not taking fashion seriously. Despite producing collections inspired by SpongeBob SquarePants or diving into the world of One Piece, its creations are designed to bring every wearer joy — and now it expands its footwear offering, notably the Morso Heel, to encourage greater self-expression for all.
Speaking on the venture, Calza said: “With this project, a little dream comes true. Every time I create something that [is] special, like the Morso Heel we made that has now become so iconic for the brand, I think of my friends. Finally, I have the opportunity to make such accessories versatile and available to everyone.”
The campaign explores these values further, seeing Andres Sanjuan put the lens on models Ben Sherrell and Oliver Osllvn as they pose in various GCDS garments — specifically the brand’s underwear, as we find the two in a locker room-style setting. In contrast are the Morso Heels, appearing in their ankle boot and sandal silhouettes.
Here, we find the ankle boots in black vinyl supported by a chrome gold mirror-finish heel unit that’s shaped like a teeth-bearing mouth, while the sandals carry the gold tone throughout the shoe.
