Renowned dance artist Shen Wei's latest work, the modern dance poetry drama "Poetic Memories of Dongpo," premiered on July 22nd at the Shanghai Cultural Square. The play extracts 15 poems by Su Dongpo that represent an attitude towards life, combining elements of modern dance with poetry, traditional Chinese painting, calligraphy, seal engraving, guqin (a traditional Chinese musical instrument), Peking Opera, and martial arts.
